QUIZ

Ralph Rapson & I.M. Pei in Hong Kong

Bank of China Tower, in Hong Kong, China, designed by I.M. Pei, 1982 to 1990.

Sketch by Ralph Rapson, from Ralph Rapson Sketches and Drawings from Around the World, courtesy of the Afton Press.

The tower's triangular bracing and step-backs are structural adaptations to the high wind loads caused by Hong Kong typhoons.
