Construction has begun on the new 235,000-square-foot (22,000-square-meter) expansion of SFMOMA in San Francisco, California. Present at the groundbreaking event were San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee, SFMOMA Director Neal Benezra, Board Chair Charles R. Schwab, Board President Robert J. Fisher, District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim, and Snøhetta principal Craig Dykers.
